Hello! My name is Anna Pankiewicz. In December 2017, I graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism with an emphasis in strategic communications at the William Allen White School of Journalism and Mass Communications. I’m complementing my major with minors in Spanish and business.
At KU, I enjoyed being involved on campus and in my community. Most recently, I worked at the University of Kansas School of Business as a marketing communications intern. Previously, I interned for the Marketing and Fan Experience department of Kansas Athletics, and I served as the Marketing Chair on the St. Lawrence Catholic Campus Center’s Student Ministry Council. Additionally, I am currently managing a student campaign for upcoming renovations at the center. Outside of KU, I was a game day intern for FC Kansas City during the 2016 season, and during the summer of 2017, I worked as the Marketing Intern at the Greater Kansas City Sports Commission & Foundation and WIN for KC.
In January of 2016, I had the opportunity to abroad in Cuba for 10 days. I enjoyed conversing in Spanish with the locals and drinking great coffee. It was fascinating to learn about Cuba’s unique history and current culture; but ultimately, as an avid sports fan, my favorite activity was attending a baseball game.
This portfolio contains a variety of strategic communication and journalistic work, along with a few multimedia pieces.
